Chief Catalyst & Founder
Marty Avery, a business adviser who collaborates with business founders, creators, and leaders to design and implement prosperity strategies, is Chief Catalyst and founder of What If?, a growth strategy company based in Canmore, Alberta.
Passionate about using the powers of connection and engagement to build an environment in which you and your business flourish, she has consulted for the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Women in Business as well as Inc. and Fortune magazines. Several of her clients have appeared on Profit Magazine’s list of the fastest growing companies. She successfully led a $4B company’s sales and marketing team, then left the corporate world to work with two start-ups. Within three years she had grown their sales to $2M and $4M respectively by focusing on the quality of relationships within and outside the organizations. Now she melds her experience in sales, marketing and building start-ups with ancient martial arts principles, meditation, art therapy and leadership training to help businesses flourish—not just grow.
Ms. Avery serves as adjunct faculty at the Canadian Film Centre’s Media lab and at the Banff Centre. She has presented on “Leading from Within” at the Women Presidents Organization’s North American Conference, “Innovative Leadership” at the Banff Centre, “Compassionate Leadership” at Ryerson University and on the “Connecting with Strangers” at TEDx Waterloo.
Marty’s vision for her life is to make the world feel more intimate.
